Ashleigh Adams, Ph.D. (she/her) to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Becca Bubb (she/her) to Everyone (10:25 AM)

No strong preference

Karen Levinson to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Free match would be great, $100 as a training site would also be worthwhile

Donna Toro to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Zotter, Deanne to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Want more info about free match

Obi Amachi to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Diane to Everyone (10:25 AM)

Free match

sjf24@drexel.edu to Everyone (10:26 AM)

Free

lagrotte-caitlin to Everyone (10:26 AM)

Leaning towards free match or no match, but I would need more info to make a confident decision

Erica.Burgoon to Everyone (10:26 AM)

My site can support a $100 fee and PracticumFit sounds good, but a free match works well too

Ashleigh Adams, Ph.D. (she/her) to Everyone (10:26 AM)

i’d also be curious whether moving to an electronic match raises the ‘temperature’ for students. we are already looking more and more like internship and it seems very stressful and demanding on the students I’ve talked to about it

Dawn Wanner to Everyone (10:29 AM)

$50 sounds like a lot for students, but $100 would be affordable for us (large site)

Alex Gallagher to Me (Direct Message) (10:30 AM)

Hi Philip, I apologize but I have to jump off for an emergency meeting. Can I be included on the Pendeldot emails moving forward? I will be taking over some responsibilities from Dr. Kristen Bielecki at Devereux. My email is agallag2@devereux.org. Thank you!

Katie Hoffses (she/her) to Everyone (10:30 AM)

Agree with point above about being cognizant of stress, demand put on students

Zotter, Deanne to Everyone (10:30 AM)

If the Chair is responsible to implement the free match, would that deter people from wanting to serve as Chair?  I don’t want to vote “free match” knowing it would put more work on the Chair and less work for me.

Nicole Fleischer (she/her) to Everyone (10:30 AM)

I agree we need to be mindful of cost for students in addition to some of the other onboarding costs for many sites.

C. Virginia O’Hayer, Ph.D.  (she/her) to Everyone (10:34 AM)

or maybe even this year!!

we could pilot it for a year and see how it goes

I think the chair would simply sell a kidney #problemsolved

Dawn Wanner to Everyone (10:38 AM)

😁

C. Virginia O’Hayer, Ph.D.  (she/her) to Everyone (10:44 AM)

this is why we can’t have nice things

Karen Levinson to Me (Direct Message) (10:47 AM)

I wonder if looking at averages are less interesting than looking at ratios per site- e.g. how many interviews did sites do relative to how many slots they had, and how many offers did they make relative to how many trainees they ended up with?

VHAPHINashC to Everyone (10:48 AM)

Are there rules around remote work of students being able to do this?

I had heard something about supervision requirements 50% required F2F for 2nd year and on

Ashleigh Adams, Ph.D. (she/her) to Everyone (10:50 AM)

yes I need to look into state rules for licensure, specifically for supervision (tele v f2f), they recently changed. may be more for interns than practicum though

Emily Brooks to Everyone (10:51 AM)

https://www.accreditation.apa.org/covid-19

Susan’s iPad to Everyone (10:51 AM)

Did all students looking for placements find them this year?

Ashleigh Adams, Ph.D. (she/her) to Everyone (11:00 AM)

i have to go but it’s good information that some sites don’t follow the rules.

Ashleigh Adams, Ph.D. (she/her) to Everyone (11:01 AM)

This year I used ‘send later’ option on my email, which was super helpful, i set them to go out at 9am but wrote the emails the week prior

thanks all!

Christina Villani to Me (Direct Message) (11:01 AM)

my apologies. I need to excuse myself for an 11am meeting

Nicole Fleischer (she/her) to Everyone (11:02 AM)

I think we should also have more clarity on frequency of contact for wait list student. For example, if we have a student who is 7th or 8th on our wait list, and we’re waiting for responses, do we update them frequently, or just as information pops up. I want to be mindful of them matching somewhere, but also mindful of the time allotment for responses. I recognize this may not be a relevant issue if we move to a match system.

Tammy Rosen (she/her/hers) to Everyone (11:03 AM)

That is a great question Nicole

Zotter, Deanne to Everyone (11:03 AM)

I thought that’s what the Guidelines said this year!?! Clock doesn’t start until 9 am.

C. Virginia O’Hayer, Ph.D.  (she/her) to Everyone (11:11 AM)

Phil is so kind in his attribution of motives 😉
